Booking terms and conditions

General:

The website is operated as corfunet.com ("the Company") We provide an advertising facility for property owners and/or their agents and an accommodation search facility for holidaymakers seeking villas in Greece.

We do not own or supply subject matter for any of the properties on our site. We make no claims as to the caliber, safety or legality of any of the properties advertised. Nor can we support the accuracy of the content. It is the sole obligation of the advertiser to be entitled to rent the property and the sole responsibility of the Holidaymaker to pay for the rental.

Any booking entered into or order placed by you, whether via the Company's website or otherwise, shall be viewed as an offer by you to rent the said accommodation subject to these terms & conditions. Consideration should always be applied to the nature of advertisements and contracts undertaken on the Internet, and the risks involved, and you should therefore exercise care and judgement whilst using our website.

You are not entering into any contract with the Company, we are purely an online marketing resource for owners and agents of the listed propeties.

We do not own or manage, nor can we contract for, any holiday rental property listed on the Site. Instead, the Site acts as a venue to allow homeowners and property managers who advertise on our Site to offer for rent in a variety of pricing formats, a specific holiday rental property to potential renters . We are not involved in any transaction between travellers and members even though we may from time to time provide tools that relate to a booking, such as a tool to enable a traveller to enter into a transaction to lease a specific property directly from a member. As a result, any part of an actual or potential transaction between a traveller and a member, including the quality, safety or legality of the properties advertised, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of members to rent a vacation property or the ability of travellers to pay for holiday rental properties are solely the responsibility of each user.

By making any form of communication through this website you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Please note that while every care is taken in choosing the photographs and compiling the descriptions and specifications on the web site, they are meant as a guide only. We will not be held responsible for errors or omissions and no warranty is implied or given. All photographs, specifications and prices are subject to change without notice and photographs may be digitally altered and /or cropped for performance reasons.

Liability:

Whilst it is requested that the property owners and/or their agents advertise truthfully, and we will take reasonable measures to remove properties from our site if deemed necessary, we hold no liability over the accuracy of the property information. The Company accepts no liability for any loss, personal injury/illness or death however incurred. Although the Company uses all reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of all information provided and the quality and facilities of the advertised properties, we cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any problems that occur while guests occupy the propert. All information has been provided in good faith and no liability is accepted whatsoever by the Company for any misrepresentation of property material or accommodation.

Every effort will be made to execute the contract, we cannot accept liability for alteration, delay or cancellation of your holiday because of war, or threat of war, riot or civil strife, terrorist activity (threatened or actual), natural disaster, fire, sickness, weather conditions, action at an airport or port by any governmental or public authority, technical problems relating to transport , airport regulations, temporary, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown with your accommodation or other circumstances amounting to 'force majeure' or Acts of God and other similar events beyond our control. It sometimes, if rarely, occurs that other situations arise, of a local nature, which are equally beyond our control. These include but are not limited to, failure of equipment, loss or low water supply, loss of electricity supply, loss of telephone connection or loss of access. It does not apply, for instance, to an area wide loss of service.

Even though the bulk of our holiday rental properties have a safe installed, any valuables left at the property, are left at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss, therefore please ensure all doors, shutters, windows are closed and locked when leaving the property.

Insurance:

It is strongly recommended that all members of the group have adequate travel insurance, including cover for possible cancellation of your holiday. We cannot be held responsible for any problems arising out of the organisation of insurance.

Deposit:

A deposit payment for all properties is required at the time of booking, Once a booking request has been confirmed by the Company. If you choose to "Book Now" on any particular property then once you have completed the required details, the initial booking fee is paid to the company via our secure payment service using Paypal, Visa/Mastercard or Debit Card. If the booking is made within two calendar months of the date of arrival then full payment is required immediately and you will be contacted by the property owner or the agent to pay the remaining balance via Bank Transfer, Paypal Visa/Mastercard or Debit Card Payment (payment methods will depend on what payment facilities are available to the agents or owners in their country). Where an initial deposit is paid, the balance must be paid within 2 months of the commencement date of the booking, whether demanded by the company or not. Should you not receive a request from the Owner or Agent for this payment it is your responsibilty to inform the agent. If this deposit is not paid within 7 days of it being due, then the company/owner/agent reserve the right to cancel the booking without any refund.

Cancellation:

If deemed necessary the Company reserverse the right to withdraw or cancel the property booking. In this event you will be offered the choice of renting another 'like for like' property or if such a property is unavailable an upgrade. If another agreed upon property can not be given then you will be entitled to a full refund of all monies paid to the Property Owner. No compensation is payable by the Company.

If You or an appointed member of your party wish to cancel the booking this must be made in writing at any time. However, no refund will be made for any monies paid. In certain cases any loss, if incurred involuntarily, may be covered by travel insurance that you may have taken out.

Security Deposits:

A security deposit could be required to cover the cost of any damages or breakages to, or at the property. If a security deposit is required it will be set out in the property details on our website or we will advise you in writing. The security deposit will either be required to be pre-paid or paid to the property owner or their authorised representative upon arrival. We/the property owner or their authorised representative reserve the right to refuse entry to the property should the security deposit not have been paid.

The cost of any agreed damage caused by you will be deducted from the security deposit and the balance will be returned to you, normally within 3 weeks from your departure. If the security deposit paid by you is not sufficient to cover the cost of such damage, the property owner or their authorised representative is entitled to recover any additional costs from you.

In the unlikely event that any dispute as to the amount of final charges to be deducted from the Security Deposit arises, we will, as a gesture of goodwill and at your request, intervene with the owner to authenticate the claimed damage.

Complaints and Access:

If you have a complaint during your stay you must inform the Owner or their appointed agent, without delay. They will do their best to solve the problem as soon as possible. The owner or their representative shall be allowed access to the property during your stay if urgent maintenance is required. Gardeners and pool maintenance staff may enter the grounds during your stay. Maintenance staff cannot be refused entrance to the villa.

Behaviour:

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party do not behave in a way that causes heavy disturbance, offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property belonging to others.the Owner or his representative may use their absolute discretion to terminate the holiday of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the accommodation. Neither we nor the Owner or his representative will have any further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and neither we nor the Owner will pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.

You are furthermore responsible for keeping the property and all its contents and grounds in the same state of cleanliness, repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday. You will be responsible for the payment for any breakages, loss or damage to the property caused by you or members of your party, you will be also be liable to reimburse us for any expenses whatsoever that is incurred as a result of your behaviour from the security deposit.

Only the persons stated on the completed Booking Form may use the property unless otherwise agreed in advance by us and the Owner. The maximum numbers of people, including infants allowed at the property may not be exceeded unless pre-agreed with us in writing. The Owner has the right to terminate hire without prior notice and without refund or compensation if the numbers are exceeded.

Safety:

We strongly advise to avoid losing the security bond, that care is taken to avoid accidents to yourself or property you should refrain from running on tiled floors when wet, do not sit on furniture in wet swim wear / suntan lotion etc. If high winds occur, please close pool side umbrellas to avoid damage/accidents. Please remember to treat the accommodation with respect so that others may enjoy the facilities provide.

No responsibility is accepted by the owners of the property , their agents or us for any accidents or injury caused in the property or grounds. We draw particular attention to the use of any spas or swimming pools especially by young children, who must be supervised at all times as there are no life guards on duty. We ask guests to familiarise themselves upon arrival at the property with all health and safety features such as house alarms, fire alarms and extinguishers.

The Property:

Pets are not allowed unless written permission is obtained before arrival.

Whilst some of our properties may be equipped with internet access we cannot be held liable for any malfunctions or technical problems with Internet Service Providers nor for the operating speed available.

The property cannot be sub let to any other persons other than those on the original booking agreement. Nor are we responsible to comply immediately if more persons arrive in accordance with the original confirmed booking.

Accommodation is made available for letting on the understanding that the property will be left clean and tidy at the time of checkout and all personal waste must be removed from the property. Customers are not permitted to move any furniture or equipment. Under no circumstances must any property for use inside the property, be moved outside.

The cost of any air-conditioning is generally included in the villa price, or may be charged for as a supplement (see property description), the units must only be used when you are in the property, all windows and doors should be kept closed. Under no circumstances must the units be left on continuously while the property is unoccupied.

Bed linen and bath/hand towels are included. Some owners may elect to supply beach towels but please refer to the individual property description.

Smoking is not permitted inside any of our advertised properties unless specifically stipulated.

Most of our properties can provide one baby cot and/or one extra bed. Please check with us should this be required. It should be noted that the extra bed would be of the folding 'camp bed' style and therefore may only be suitable for a child. Baby cots are usually of the portable 'travel cot' style. We recommend that you take your own cot linen for your baby's comfort and hygiene.

Swimming pools may not be available all year round. If your rental period is outside of April - October we recommend that you select a villa with a heated swimming pool. We cannot be responsible for low water temperatures at any period.

Construction Works:

Any building work which may commence in the local area is outside of our control, and we cannot be held responsible for any resulting disturbance. We undertake to notify you as soon as we become aware of any construction activity which may affect your enjoyment of a rental property. Whilst we assure you of our best endeavours to minimise any inconvenience we regret that we cannot accept any liability in most cases, we are in not in a position to prevent, or demand cessation of any construction.

Property Check-in / Check-out times:

Access to villas will be after 3pm on your day of arrival to allow time for cleaning and servicing, and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, A request may be considered for a late departure and should be made at the time of confirming your booking. Upon departure from the property it is your responsibility to ensure that all keys and remote controls for gates, doors and air-conditioning units are left at the property.

When making enquiries or a reservation you must take into account that your flight may arrive in the early hours of the morning or late the previous evening. In which case, if you require immediate access to the property, you should add a night to your rental period. Equally, your departing flight may leave later in the day or early the next morning. In which case, if you need use of the property until then, you should add another night to your rental period.

Travel Documents:

You are responsible for ensuring that you are in possession of all necessary travel documents and that they are valid.

Special Requests or Special Needs:

If you wish to make a special request, you must do so prior to your booking commencing. We will try to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier but we cannot guarantee that requests will be met. The fact that a special request has been noted on your confirmation invoice or any other documentation or that it has been passed on to the supplier is not confirmation that the request will be met. Failure to meet any special request will not under any circumstances be accepted by us as failure to meet our contractual obligations.
